ive always had an obsession for the ak74 series so i picked up my first ak (sgl31) a few months ago, so now i wanna go all out (well not really, i used to have a tantal and we all know what happened there). i was lurking and came across the krink pictures thread and realized ive got to have one.

i have no problems buying a kit and a reciever and having someone build the rifle for me but kits are a little harder to find at this time, besides florida gun works which ive come across some threads where some people have apparentlly gotten ripped off by them.

i was reading some posts from a few days ago and someone was hinting at a shipment of bulgys coming in shortly, anyone know anything about that?

anyway back on topic. i am willing to pay on the higher end of the price spectrum but i dont want to get burned, so whats a fair price nowadays for a completed rifle or kit? most of the legit kits or rifles ive seen have been off of gunbroker and according to old post they are priced way too high.

so is it wise to wait it out for the rumoured shipment or get it while i can? any replys are GREATLY appreciated guys.

I haven't seen any under $800 in a long time mt friend. Pretty late getting into the game. So you're going to have to look pretty hard for one at a "good" price. You may want to also look for one already made and SBR'd and think about paying the transfer fees. I got lucky and just walked into my Class III and he had one when I was ready to buy. You can find them on subguns sometimes, and on GB, but like you said they aren't always priced well.

ETA:

if you have the $ I'd buy this!

Wow! That price tag makes my eyes water I'm glad I got mine when I did. I think I was right at the end of the kit availability. I thought I was paying too much, but now that when I shoot it I know I didn't. It was worth every shiny hard saved penny.

Like it was said, good luck finding a kit. I can't remember the last time I saw one.

it's a full auto, and to be honest, that's not a bad price for one.

Not long ago Jim Fuller had some kits that he was doing some builds with. You might e-mail him at rifledynamics.com and see if he has a line on any more. My advise is...If he has a kit, have him build it for you...you won't find a better builder.

I wouldn't worry about price too much. If you want one just get it. Not much is priced fair these days. If you can find a kit, go for it.

For 14k you would think it would have proper rivets.........

The second rivet on the front trunnion is missing on both sides.

could be because it was made from a Chinese rifle? Can't remember the rivet pattern on them.

Chinese rifles have a low first rivet, but they have 2 trunnion rivets. Euro rifles have 2 rivets in a line, but they also have two trunnion rivets. This rifle only has one trunnion rivet with welds filling the rest.

It's really inexcusable on a FA rifle with this much value. I've seen many Chinese to Euro guns that had flawless transitions of rivet patterns.

There are good deals out there. I got this at auction last summer. Brand new on NDS receiver. The fit and finsh are beautriful.
$760.00 plus ship

eta this was bought as u see it, not the price for a kit but the actual Krink ready to shoot.
