Yes i know i got into this obsession of mine a little late lol, but of later i just decided i must have an ak. I done a good deal of research on the web but i need some first hand experience. Right now am looking to either pick up http://phoenix.backpage.com/SportsEquipForSale/sar_1_ak_package/classifieds/ViewAd?oid=4927223 or http://phoenix.backpage.com/SportsEquipForSale/_800_ak47_8_mags_1000rds/classifieds/ViewAd?oid=4996449 am not sure which is the better value lol. The first is a setup i really like and decent amount of extras to sweeten the deal , but the second has a decent looking wasr-10 with ammo lol. Most people are trying to sell the wasr-10 for 700 or better just for the darn rifle and i know they are really not worth more than 500(in today's climate lol). Right know these both are in my price range and i just want to get the best value for my money. So any help in the decision would be much appreciated, weather it is just telling me which one to get , pointing me in another direction, or telling me to wait a little longer for a better deal.

lol no problem. And ya the second add was pulled i guess lol, it was a wars-10, 8 mags, and 1000 wolf rounds for 800 bucks. It was one of the first adds that had a decent price lol guess it got snapped up lol. Well what about the sar-1, is it a good value. I thought it was till i asked about the ammo he had to sell and he wanted 350 for 1000 loose rounds, am sorry but that is retail right now and i hate people charging more than what it is worth. Thank anyone for weighs in.

Well, x39 is going for about $300 per 1000 right now unfortunately. Mags are worth roughly 15 bucks a piece.

I like the Sar as an AK; personally I strongly dislike the Tapco stock etc, but that's me. It looks like it comes with the wood furniture too, which is cool. You could sell one set of furniture or the other to offset the cost.

If it was me, and assuming I bought it, I would sell the Tapco 6 position collapsible stock set, SAW grip, and UTG quad rail, Folding Front Grip and MTK-83 receiver-side scope mount to offset the cost. I'd also swap the flash-hider for a brake, and get a sling on her, but again, that's me. You asked

8 foreign steel mags is great, as is the Tapco G2 trigger group, and the Mojo peep sights are great IMHO.

well that sums it up, am going to go ahead and pick it up. The funny thing is alot of the things you would sell to offset the cost are things i was looking for, but it gives me optionsi i decide to go back to the stock config.( and who knows i may not like the set up and do that).
I thank you for your help in this matter and cant wait to get ahold of it lol.

By all means, different strokes for different folks. Post pics if you pick it up

I was just thinking of selling some of the stuff that would be less desirable to me to offset the overall cost. AK market ain't like it used to be
