Have gotten bit by the AK bug, and have thought long and hard about the type of rifle I want. I've decided on a krink, but can't seem to find anywhere that they are readily available.
Looking for any suggestions, along with personal opinions, and even pictures if you feel so inclined.

First off, do you want one with the original 8.5" barrel or one that is street legal? If going the NFA route, you're going to have to find out if NFA weaponry is allowed in your state/municipality.
If they are, then find a Class 3 Special Occupational Taxpayer (SOT) to do a transfer. It'll cost you a $200 tax for the transfer and an as yet undetermined wait from the ATF to get the paperwork back saying you can have said SBR.
You can find Krink's on GunBroker, just do a keyword search for either 'Krink' or 'Krinkov'. There's always one or two that show up. If there ain't any up at the moment, wait. They'll be there.
If you're not looking to go the SBR route, the possibilities increase. There are usually several available with permanantly attached muzzle devices to bring the OA barrel length to 16".
Again, use the same key words to find one that isn't an NFA weapon.
In both instances, patience is the key.
ETA: Here are some links to some auctions on GB involving Krinks.

IM sent.

I was bitten by the AK many many moons ago and I always wanted a Krinkov. My hopes were dashed when I spent time in Kyrgyzstan. I got to handle quite a bit of the Kyrgyz Army weapons. The first Krinkov I saw I made a beeline for. The younger Special Forces soldiers all loved the weapon. But, the Afgan War vets had another opinion of the weapon. They called it a little bitch. They all swore by full size AK, both the 47 and 74 models. That said the short sight radius and the loss of velocity in the shorter barrel makes it not worth the added expense and hassle of going NFA route for this type of weapon.

They probably called it this because "suchka" (which we call the "Krinkov) is slang for bitch.
For the experience side, yes that definitely holds some weight. There will always be a give and take when comparing any two rifles. Like a CAI wasr, and an arsenal rifle. You can either get a fantastic rifle and spend some money getting there, or get a marginal(if that) rifle and be out $400-ish.
