I picked up a BP-02 and did the surgery on the rail to shorten & lower it and have mounted an extra Aimpoint Comp M. Given the hieght of the optic (which should be about equal to a Commie red-dot or scope) what zero range works best for 123 grn 7.62? I did some shooting with it this morning and set it about 2 inches low at 25, but didnt have time to dope it out.

I'll post some pics of this set up and my new M72 (built from a matching numbers, perfect bore, original finish blued kit with blued reciever...I cant get over that thing! Its so good looking i'dsleep with it...)

Thanks,

B

I hear you, I just don't have a good answer.

The problem is that 7.62x39 just doesn’t have a flat enough trajectory to have a ’golden’ zero range. With 5.56 you can zero at 50 and be +- 2” out to 220 yards.

I’d probably try zeroing at 300 and knowing my holdover/holdunder for 100, 200, and 400. Past 400 you ain’t going to be seeing man sized targets unless they dress like these guys. BSW
