Grips on Draco C
Do all Dracos with bakelite grips have the underfolder trunnion? I found a delaer with some and they have bakelite pistol grips but he said that he checked and they didnt have the underfolder trunnion. I kinda felt like he didnt know what he was talking about though.
The grips shouldn't have any bearing on whether or not the pistol will have an underfolding trunnion. If it's a "C", then it should have an underfolding trunnion.
Can anyone point me to pics comparing the Draco and Draco C trunnions, so I can tell the difference? Mine is a 2007 model, made back when they were all called the Champion, before they called them Draco. I don't know which trunnion mine has.
Mine came with the Bakelite grip, which I replaced with a black CAI grip and then replaced again with a Tapco SAW grip. Now that I've refinished the factory hand guards, I'm going to reinstall the Bakelite grip because the factory HGs match it nicely now.

Are you going to do an underfolding SBR? If not then what's the difference? I see way too many people making a big fuss over this trunnion issue with almost all of them saying they're gonna do an underfolder conversion when in fact probably less than 5% actually do it. Anyways, here you go:
Underfolder (holes)
Non-underfolder (no holes)

Yes, I will 100% for a fact be doing an underfolder SBR. I want it to have an authentic AK look.

No, but it has been common that the ones sporting the bakelite grip are "C" models, not a for sure thing though.
The best way to get your hands on a "C" model is to have the dealer check the serial # which is HG2159N, the Non-C is # HG1916N.
Are those part numbers actually stamped on each gun?

No, however those #'s are stamped on the box, & the white tag attached to the trigger guard of every Century Draco [C].. However, Draco, or Draco C is stamped on every gun. GARY N4KVE
I did a Form 1 on my Draco and put an underfolder on it. I should have it back any day now !

Stupid question time.... I have a Yugo M70AB2 underfolder that seems very awkward to hold. It seems like it is too wide between the bars and on the buttplate where it fits below the handguard in a folded position. Very uncomforatble to grip the rifle with it folded. I've noticed that the rake of the extended Yugo underfolder seems less (more straight back) than the underfolders I've seen pics of on regular AK's.
Is this Yugo underfolder stock the same type and/or width of all AK underfolder stocks? Or is there a narrower underfolder stock that goes on conventional AK's. If they're all the same, I'm not sure I'd ever want to go through the time, effort, and SBR red tape to put one on my Draco-C.

Did you pay someone to install your underfolder stock? If so, what did that run you if you don't mind me asking.

Yes, I paid someone to do it since I don't like the idea of buggering up my SBR. I went through a board member here who is not an idustry partner so I won't name names. He charged me 100$ for the cutting of holes/install of stock, engraving and checking the concentricity of the threads. (The thread checking was more of a favor I think). Drop me a PM is you would like his name.
FWIW, I contacted AZEX arms in AZ (spelling?)They wanted 225$ for all of that work. Thank you very little.
Also, he would not do the work unless he had a copy of my Form1. He is a smith so he's got work in line already. Once my Form1 was sent to him, he put me in line for work. You may have to wait a few weeks. I should have mine back any day now....
As for the other question. I do not know about the grip while folded. I wanted to use a bulgy U/F since I like the look of the straight stock. The Romanian U/F stock has a cant to it and while it isn't correct for this gun, it's a romanian stock on a romanian gun so I went with that instead. Also, I have heard that the cant of the Rommy Stock is much better than that of the Bulgy one. Hope that helps.
