Anyone have a link to where I could find and purchase an ACE folding stock mechanism? I have looked at quite a few different places and none of them seem to have them in stock..........ever.

I got mine last week from MidwayUSA. They did not have the push button model when I ordered- but I was looking for the one with the integrated AR tube adapter, which they had last week. I just looked and now it says Out of stock...

I just saw on Carolina Shooter's Supply that they have the AR adapter one and the standard- just no push button.

Try this! Not "ACE" brand but same thing and cheaper. Great Quality too!

I second the Stormwerkz option. I have two of them, and they're extremely solid and well made. They have two lugs to lock the hinge open/closed, instead of one, like the ACE.

I can see that the stormwerkz can be flipped around to be made left swinging or right swinging. If the folding mechanism is set up so that the stock folds to the right of the gun does it interfere with ejection? Does the stock have to be pushed down to swing to the right or pushed up?

and last..........you wouldnt happen to have a pic would you?

ACE plans on getting some in the next week...Midway will get them shortly afterwards. Call ACE, talk to Stephany. There was a problem with a batch of pins, so they had to hold all orders back. It took less time for my stamp than my FSM!

StormWerkz hinges are push down to fold to the right and lift up to fold to the left.
The StormWerkz folding mechs are in stock

The Stormworks folding mech, locks up rock solid too. I have one with an ACE stock on the back of my VZ 2000 and it is a great piece. Recommend it to anyone . Totally reversable for left or right fold.

I just got my Stormwerkz hinge in today and I'm impressed to say the least. It shipped fast and I can't wait to install it.

One major plus for it that I see is that it doesn't have the nub that needs to be ground flush like the Ace units do.

The Stormwerks hinge flat out rocks! I like mine 110% more than I did my ACE.

Outstanding build quality too!

After reading through some of the "constructive intent" threads I have decided to wait on ordering the stock until my stamp comes back. I kinda want the Ace push buttion, but would rather give my business to a smaller shop like Stormwerkz, and will end up with the SW mechanism and Ace 7.5" stock.

I just ordered mine yesterday, based on the reviews that I read here.

FYI Carolina Shooters Supply has a push button folding stock mechanism in stock.

I needed to measure my parts to make sure I got the form 1 correct. I actually asked for some ACE CTR stock measurements in here, but did not get any responses. I also realized I could not depend on others' measurements due to variables like which ACE device and buffer tube they used. I have 2 milspec AR buffer tubes with differing number of threads on the end. Unlike an AR, you can screw the buffer tube all the way into an ACE with an AR adapter because there is no buffer retention post and spring. Simply put, I needed all the parts to accurately measure them.

FYI my ACE with a BCM mil spec buffer tube screwed in just enough to allow me to mount my Noveske QD endplate and CTR stock fully extended when intalled will add exactly 12" to the back of my Draco.

So I bought an ACE with the integrated AR adapter (I was also worried about availability) and actually needed to grind down the small nub on the front face to get an accurate measurement of OAL for my form 1. However, I will not drill and tap my Mini Draco until my stamp comes back. My papers went out a couplle of weeks ago. I cannot readily attach the stock because it still needs to be drilled and tapped. I actually do not have the right tap yet and will not get it until after my stamp comes in, but that is not material.

I also have a 4" barrel extension (cnc warrior $11) plus a vortex muzzle device laying around that I could weld on if my form 1 was not approved for any reason, which is not going to be an issue. I have multiple stamps recently approved. Pursuant to US Supreme Court decisions on this issue, if you have a legal way to configure your parts, you have no constructive issues.

I am in Florida and can only address Florida and federal law. I do not know if there are other states' laws that are in play. The guy in Florida who got prosecuted on a constructive SBR charge was allegedly selling parts that had no other legal configuration. If you are not selling, you have a possible legal configuration in case you do not get approved and have sent your paperwork in, you have nothing to worry about.
