Picked up a G23 with night sites, the research ive done has led me to either the crossbreed or the MTAC, and im leaning torwards the MTAC, are there any other holsters I should take into account?

Also belts, need a leather one, recommendations? The crossbreed belts look nice but they dont have a kydex or steel insert?

Thanks!

I carry my G23 in an MTAC and like it a lot, FWIW.

I have the MTAC "slide" for my Glock's and love it, this allows me to carry all my Glock's in the same holster.

Tommy Theis, same design as the Crossbreed at a cheaper price and very little wait time. I've carried a G23 in both an MTAC and a CB/CB Variant and much prefer the CB, it just feels more comfortable and stable.

MTAC has much better fit and finish IMO and you can buy "bodies" and have a new holster very easily.

For the belt...hands down, no other way to go.

Will 1.25 suffice? Or is 1.5 absolute necessity? I know a lot of guys dress around their gun and I dont mind making a few changes, but Id rather keep dressing the way I do.

How does a Versa Max II or Summer Special compare?

Both are great rigs. I have tried both and like the CBST better, but every one has their own preference. Just make sure you have a good belt.

1.25" will do fine if it is a quality leather gunbelt. I have one from Galco that I use alot without issue as a dress belt. Don't skimp on the quality of belt if you want to be comfortable and have a repeatable drawstroke. As to holsters, I like www.rmholsters.com low rider or Milt Sparks EX. There are many good holsters out there.

buy yourself a crossbreed supertuck now

get on the phone with Milt Sparks, order VM2. while you're there get a mag holder and maybe belt, wait 3-4 months.

It will be worth it

It seems that 1.5" belts and loops on holsters are pretty standard. I went with that and that's all I buy just for standardization reasons. Nothing wrong with 1.25" and it may work better with dress pants that have little belt loops.

Can't go wrong with a VMII or an MTAC or a CB/ST. I've tried them all and like them just fine. I've just always liked the CTAC best for an IWB holster. I get a better grip on the weapon and have a faster draw with the CTAC.

Mtac and get the comp tac belt as well. It has the kydex reinforcement your looking for.

I'd like to try a Crossbreed. I have an MTAC now. The CB seems to be a bit more flexible than the MTAC as far as the leather goes. I might like that, I'm not sure. One thing I don't like is the exposed muzzle/front sight on the CB holsters. I prefer full covereage of the muzzle for wear reasons.

I had a crossbreed for a little while, I sold it quick.

Check out Occidental Leather.
