 Holster search help

2-3 months ago my home was burglarized and a couple of my handguns taken. Along with the guns, they got a custom IWB holster. Now I'm on a search to replace the holster and could use a little help in my search. What I desire is a straightforward leather IWB for a 1911 full sized. I greatly prefer one-way snaps to belt loops and detest thumbsnaps. I want one that has a flap of leather running up the back to protect me from abrasion. Right now the Milt Sparks #1 heritage is looking like it would meet my needs. I guess my question here is, are there other manufacturers that make something similar that I should look at?

I've looked at safari land, desantis, galco, rafter-s, bianchi, and a couple of lesser known small shops. The guy that did my original holster is long since retired or I'd go back to him in a heartbeat.

Im kinda a traditional sort and don't care at all for kydex, great though I'm sure it is.

And if anyone actually has used the sparks 1H I'd love your feedback.

carry thread pics

until you get a answer browse through the what are you carrying thread. there is a ton of 1911's in there and maybe you will see something that looks what your after.

now maybe you looked, but with hundreds of photos its easy to overlook them, good luck on finding a comfy replacement. somebody has to have what you want. a few places still do custom orders.

I had TJ Edmond Leatherworks build a beautiful IWB to my specs for my CM9. Take peek at his gallery and see if anything catches your eye...

TTGunleather

Heavy leather with stiff boning and the mouth is reinforced with a stitched-in metal insert.

I own 3 of them and they break-in and wear nicely.

8-10 weeks right now.
I have ordered when the wait was 16 weeks.

Oh...my... Those are some very nice holster makers. I like that tj's will do custom work. The quality looks absolutely top shelf for both of those guys. Thanks a bunch for those references. You've complicated my selections but in a good way.
