What is the best .22 Conversion kit for a G21 and where should I get it?

I am concerned about the cost and reliability of the kit and price of .22 LR magazines.

Suggestions?

Get an Advantage Arms LE kit from Top Gun Supply. They are in stock and I don't think anyone will have an objection to that kit. It even accepts factory sights for familiarity.

I got my AA kit from http://www.ambientsw.com/ . Search for Advantage Arms. Best price I found. Their magazine price blows others away.

No complaints, but do pay attention to what ammo AA says to use. Chances of it shooting Federal bulk pack is near zero.

Here's a post I made after using my G17 AA kit the first time.

I went to the range this evening with my new AA 17-22 conversion with four magazines. I had already made a trip to Walmart and picked up the AA recommended ammo.

CCI Mini-Mag 22 LR HP
copper plated hollow point - 36 grain - 1260 FPS
40 rounds no problems

Remington 22 Target
lead round nose - 40grain - 1150 FPS
40 rounds no problems

Remington 22 Golden Bullet 550 bonus pack plated hollow point - 36 grain - 1280 FPS
60 rounds a few problems out of 1 magazine

Federal .22 LR 550 Round Value Pack copper plated hollow point - 36 grain - 1260 FPS Jam-o-matic!! This was expected per most feedback I've read.

*** Ballistic information as listed on manufactures box.

I was shooting for function, but was happy with the groups I shot.

The only "issue" I had was changing back to and shooting 9mm. The weight
and recoil difference is so drastic,

This is a good place to get the AA kits, and thier prices generally can't be beat. Understand that there will be a break-in period required, and during that period (~1000rds) I would suggest using only Remington Golden Bullets (per AA's instructions) or CCI MiniMags. After the kits is broken in, it should shoot just about any good hi-velocity round w/o any problems. I now shoot Blazers, Win 333 & 555, & Federal Bulk Packs and never have any problems save for the occasional bad primer (certainly not the fault of the pistol).

These kits like to be run wet, especially during the break-in. They also work great as suppresor hosts with the threaded barrel from AA installed.

I'll second (or third?) all of that. Make sure you buy another magazine or five when you order your kit, you'll appreciate it later.
