Tell me opinions of the 239 9mm
I am looking to swap for a 239 soon. I have owned 220's, 226's, a 228, 229's, and P6's but never a 239.
What the pros/cons of them...thanks
I have only shot one once but have handled a few of them. I personally think they are great. They are a perfect size for concealment, are chambered in a capable caliber (I trust 9mm, others may prefer the .40), and yet they still hold more rounds than I'll likely ever need in the unlikely event I find myself exchanging copper coated candies. I thought the trigger was very smooth and easily to manipulate, as were the rest of the controls, and the sights were good.
If I could find one for a more reasonable price in my neck of the woods, I'd snag it up in a heart beat. As I can't, I'll be packing a p225. In another few days though I'll be turning the p225 back into the safe and pulling out a p245 (funny how they multiply in there...). Either way, I'd say go for it if you can afford it. Good gun that seems to hold its value pretty well.
I have a 239. Its a good little gun. If there were any complaint it would be that the grip is a but too slim. Good for carry a little uncomfortable at the range. It does what it was designed to do well.
They are nice guns and a good choice for CCW. The main complaint I have heard is they are a little heavier and carry a few less rounds than some other choices (ie Glock or M&P) but I would have no problem carrying one. They are very close in size to a P225/P6 (maybe a touch slimmer in the grip).
