Just figured I'd show a pic of my Scorpion Carry since I figured some of you might be curious to see how it looks without the Hogue mag-well/grips ("Magrip" they call it). Those grips are great for full sized guns, but I much prefer the option to carry with a 7 round mag (fits flush), so I ordered some identical grips from Hogue, but without the magwell. I also had to put in a different MSH since the Hogue "Magrips" include the MSH.
As you'll notice, I made myself a nice wide thumb notch (lots of filing and sanding) to access the mag release. I have smaller hands and I can now eject the magazine with my finger on the trigger...works for me. :D
Just FYI - those are the Hogue grips made for the S&A magwell. I just rounded off the sharp edges at the bottom, and rounded the lower rear corner a touch...this way, they won't dig into my stomach (I carry IWB up front), but they'll still look fine with a magwell if I wanted to use them on another gun later, or add a removable magwell to this one.
PS - Excuse the mucky color of the picture...phone pic. :(
ETA - BRAIN FART (I said "to access the safety" when I meant mag release).
looks good. do i like it bettter then the Magwell grips no but. its more functional and thats the important thing

True, though the mag well is definitely a functional part. It's just a hinderance for one particular thing...concealed carry.
One thing I forgot to mention, I bought another mainspring and pins for the new MSH, so I haven't really lost anything. If I want the mag-well, I can switch back to the old setup in under a minute, without having to disassemble the MSH or anything.
I have one, and if they make a fastback version of the Scorpion... I'll get that if it ever came out....

I'm thin, but still have a little muscle (used to be 30 lbs of muscle heavier), so my chest sticks out further than my stomach (thank God). That being the case, I can generally get away with carrying inside the waistband up front, even with a thin t-shirt.
Honestly, I was riding the fence with these...thinking I might still want the option of using them with a mag-well. If I had it to do over, I would go with the more traditionally beveled grip, which Hogue also offers...it's the one with the semi-circle cut-out for the MSH pin. That traditional bevel makes it thinner at the bottom and it'll print even less under your shirt. You can file and sand these grips, obviously, but if you're buying them specifically for carry, I'd get the traditional cut grips.
