92 .22 Conversion Kit Question
Has anyone used the .22 conversion kit for the Beretta 92/M9? If so, how is the reliability, feeding, etc. My son wants a M9 in .22, but I have no experience with Beretta conversion kit.
I wish i could find a beretta conversion kit(factory) Not at a stupid high price.
I'm also rather curious about this, both for the Beretta and JACkass kits.
There is a .22 conversion kit which looks like it has polymer mags and says it's made in Italy. I'm assuming it is made by Beretta, but I could be wrong. There is a picture of one on page 20 of the .22 rimfire thread.
I've got one. There made by Beretta in Italy. It works great.Mags are kinda expensive though.I bought mine years ago when they were closing them out got it for halve price.
Paid $250 for it then. They where selling for $500 before that.
Beretta imported a bunch of kits two years ago, not sure if they will again. They were $350 back then I think and were called Beretta 92 Practice Kits.
Well worth every penny in my opinion. Excellent quality and reliability. I used my kit on a 80's vintage 92F in a bunch of .22LR steel plate matches and never had a jam/misfire.
I bought one from the last batch that was imported about a year ago. It is 100% quality and I've had zero malfunctions with bulk Federal. Keep it lubed and it's smooth as silk. The Beretta kit is the way to go, if you can find it.
we used some on the military shooting team I was a member of for practice. They were about as reliable as any 22 autoloader- meaning you have to accept it will have an occasional unexplained malfunction once in a while. They were fairly accurate and again pretty reliable. the mags are very fragile- you need to be careful loading them and not dropping them.had one guy break one first time the kkits were delivered!
the nice thing about the beretta kit is it has a slide mounted safety and lokcs back when empty so it is better for training value when transitioning to a 9mm or 40 version. the ceiner kit does not have a safety and doesn't lock back when empty
Thanks for the input. I guess I'll keep an eye out for one.
