Love the M&P series and now looking at a full size 40. When I get it I'll want a 357 barrel too.
Where to get the 357 barrel ? Will it be a "drop in" ?

Yes it will drop in as long as it is a factory barrel. Any where to get it, look at Speed Shooters Specialties, Brownells, MidwayUSA, and direct from S&W.
