Seen a couple on other sites. Thinking about ordering another fullsize to do this mod.

Do you have a link to these projects? I don't recall seeing on on M-P forums.

I love the compact 45 grip, and I want something similar for my full size M&P 9mm. That 3/4" too long grip drives me nuts.

If S&W does not get around to making a 10mm version of the compact 45, I am going to sleeve a barrel for it.

This is the only one i know of. I want to do it too but dont have a good way to get a magazine made. From what he said its about .6" shorter than stock but in order to complete it you need a difficult magazine mod. The baseplate ears wont just bend he says but may snap off. Im not sure if he softened the metal before he tried to bend it though. The fix was to cut the mag to the length needed and then weld the tabs in place. If i could get one of the magazines i would be real tempted to do it.

I think the compact is too small and this mod should be perfect for my hand too. I sent C products a e-mail asking if they would do a small run to test the waters for it. If that did happen i think there would be a good many people doing the mod.

Edited to add: I see now you wanted the 9mm size compact. That should be much easier and if you want to send it off you can use Bowie Tactical. Scroll down to the one with the green slide and thats what it will look like.
