Need a recommendation for a 'smith to fix a Star pistol
My Star B pistol had a cracked slide. I bought a slide from a dealer which was a model A slide, which he stated was interchangeable. I have no reason to doubt him as he handles a lot of Star parts. A frind of mine who is a machinist swapped the parts out, and I thought that I was good to go. Unfortunately, the pistol will not go bang. The rounds have no dimple/dent on the primer.
There is no one in my immediate area that knows what they are doing as far as fixing this. I hate having a nonoperational pistol. Can someone suggest a pistolsmith who will work on this?
