Samson ultra 9x19 ammo

As always, thanks for looking. I've just been given 250 rounds of this ammo. Ammo is hollow point, 115 grain and to tell you the truth, the bullet looks very similar to the ones used in black talon ammo, without the black teflon coating. Anybody know anything about this stuff in terms of reliability and expansion? I know the ammo is manufactured by IMI, but having always carried speer gold dots 147 gr in my 9mms I was wondering if this was also a good carry ammo.
Has anybody done any testing?
Info would be much appreciated.

I bought the same ammo a few years ago and was told it is the Black Talon bullet without the black coating. I forgot about them until I read your post. I will try to shoot one through a few gallon water jugs one of these days to confirm it.

Samson IMI Di-Cut. I have 2-50rd boxes. I came across a website 4yrs ago that had the ballistics testing on several(about 20 different loads) 9mm loads including this one. I don't have the link but I will look for it. The Samson Di-Cut had the deepest penetration of any of the 9mm loads. Extremely hot. The expansion was great also. And yes, it looks like the Winchester SXT, Black Talon and PDX bullet. I will post the link if I can find it. Linky, I couldn't find the penetration testing but I think that it is still there somewhere.

I still have one box of this stuff left.

It was accurate and semi hot.

I wish I had purchased a whole case of it.

In my experience, that bullet does not expand much, even shot into water.... YMMV.

I would not rely on it for carry ammo...
