I live in the kc area and i was wondering if anyone knew where to find some HST. After doing some research they look like the best to carry in my 9mm. If you think there is something better that is easier to find let me know. Thanks

Check out SGammo.com. I just ordered 500 rounds of HST in .40 for $169. I haven't fired any of them yet, but they've passed my visual inspection. Got an immediate email response with shipping info, and delivered to my doorstep in Florida within 5 days. Even if they don't have the HST in 9mm, see what else they have that's a good deal and just do some research on the rounds. There's a lot of good stuff on youtube, you just have to find the guys who know what they're talking about. Good luck.

I think maybe he meant 250 rounds, that would work out to $33.80 a box which is about what they are. I was just hoping to pick some up somewhere rather than have to order them

Most gun shops that have Federal products can not order this unless they have a LE purchase order or a LE Distributor. They can get the X product code when it is available but it should be drying up soon unless Federal loses another contract, over makes for a contract, or botches specs on a contract.

For a steady supply of HST made to the same spec every time you are going to have to get it on line if you do not have a local LE Supplier.

Walmart has 50 rd boxes of Federal 40 s&w 135 gr. JHP for like $23 a box. No where on the box does it say HST but the bullets look very similar. I picked up a box a few months ago but haven't shot any.

ammo to go dot com has it in 50 round boxes and by the case. Ships out of Texas. I was very pleased with the price and service. I needed 4 different calibers and bulk rimfire. ONe stop shop.

Fast shipping. I did "hold at UPS depot" which means communication of tracking number needs to be right now. They did it right.

Federal 40 cal HST

I picked up 750 rounds and have shot 200 rounds so far with no issues. Can't tell any difference compared with my 45 HST duty ammo on paper,

well i finally broke down and ordered some and man am i impressed. I got the 124 grain for the velocity aspect and they still expand beautifully. I did a water expansion test today, and they opened just liked i expected.

Steichers had .40 and .45. I could not find the 147g 9mm anywhere. Finally found some on Gunbroker and bought 1000 :-)
