I receved my first ALS holster today and he first thing I noticed was the size of the release lever and texture, or lack thereof. Has anyone performed any modifications to these holsters to create a little more contact area or has it been a non-issue?
I think for most it is a non-issue, but I have seen one guy who stippled the top of the lever and says it helped for him. No one I have seen has modded it to make it larger.
It's been a non issue for me. I really like the ALS.

For me as well.
It would seem to me that making the release button larger on a retention holster would be a really bad idea.
Only modification I've made to my 6377 is the addition of an ALS guard

ALS is the BOMB.

After using it with the pistol Im at the conclusion that is really gtg out of the box, only thing I need to find is another backpiece that will work with a duty belt (I got the concealment version for 1.5" belts on sale.) Time to start replacing serpas...
I used a disk on my Dremel to make a few horizontal cuts across the top. It helps get a bit more purchase on the button with or without gloves.
