I got my VG2 in the mail today. I pre-ordered it. The holster itself looks like quality materials and well made. The information and instruction booklet is easily the best I've seen come with a firearm or firearm accessory. It is fully color, glossy and very clearly explains how to adjust, install and property wear the VG2.

Upon installing the holster onto your gun and then inserting it onto your belt, I recommend using a blue gun or unload your firearm until you get used to the holster. I put the holster in the 12:30-1 o'clock position IWB on my leather gun belt. Very comfortable this way and conceals fine. It "seems" to print more than a IWB holster in a strong-side carry placement. I'm wearing a polo shirt over the holster.

I then try out the tuckable feature of the holster. I've tried to wear my Comp-Tac holster before using it's tuckable attachment and felt like I had a big tumor on my right side. It didn't last long in this configuration.

The VG2 holster allowed my shirt to tuck very easily into it and I then bloused the shirt around the area of the holster. I'm wearing jeans and a brown belt and the black holster loop does stand out.

When sitting down with the holster tucked in here's where I got my first "whoa, I don't know if this is for me" moment. The barrel of my Glock is pushing right into my groin area. When wearing your VG2, I hope you have balls of steel inasmuch as I hope your balls are literally made of steel and can deflect bullets. Because if you somehow have a negligent discharge while using your VG2 you're going to have a nice hole in them otherwise.

I'd recommend wearing your holster around with your gun empty and your trigger reset until you feel comfortable and confidant that you are not going to accidentally press your trigger and fire your weapon inadvertently while wearing it.

Great holster design, great implementation and the jury is still out if I"m going to use it long-term.

Got mine as well. It's a done holster I just don't like the 1:00 carry position. I guess lately I've got used to OWB carry with the Phantom and its no contest. However, I feel differently about the feel of it. To me, it was easy to sit and bend with it. It never got close to my ball though and with the design it prevents you from pulling the trigger so that's a non issue.

I got mine and wore it all day today. Very comfortable and very concealable. Only problem I have so far is the clasp is still extremely tight, and yes, I am using it correctly.

My dot snap was super tight too. I've snapped and unsnapped it a bunch loosening it up.

My snap is really tight too.

Jury is still out on the holster. My G23 does NOT conceal well in "appendix" carry, but it seems plenty comfortable. Maybe my G26 will work better when I get it back this weekend.

I've yet to find a way to make appendix carry work for me. The VG2 is not my answer. I'm skinny, don't wear super tight shirts, but my shirts do fit me. I don't look like a kid in dad's shirt. I get some printing in the front, even with a 27. Something about the way it slightly protrudes in the front makes my waistline area look incongruous––like I'm carrying something in my pants!

The VG2 back in the 3-4 oclock position works fine, but really no different than any other traditional IWB holster. I'm a big CTAC carrier and would not carry the VG2 over the CTAC.

I'm not sure I will end up carrying the VG2 for anything. I'm going to keep playing around with it for now...

My results were similar. I could get the 19 to conceal but when in my waist at 1o'clock the buckles on my Ares Ranger stuck out like a sore thumb, even further than my button up shirt. And as you said, its no different than any other holster at 3-4

Appendix carry takes a special body type if you ask me. Im very barrel chested at 6'2" 195. I have a slight v shape to me, so it helps drape a shirt over pretty much my entire waist. If you're rocking a reverse v or are super skinny, obviously appendix carry will not conceal well for you. On my second day of carry with the VG2, I honestly don't think I will ever use a different IWB method, be it in any form of appendix or traditional placement, this holster adds zero weight, and zero bulk. Call me lazy, but the ease of use and comfort level of this vg2 is unparalleled. I can now switch out the iwb clips on my phantom for owb, and have 2 dedicated holster types.

Btw, I wear either a ares ranger, or a wilderness instructor belt at all times.

I've worn mine for 2 days with my G26 now. It is very comfortable and easy to conceal while walking around, but sitting down pushes the muzzle into my pelvis and is really uncomfortable. I do like that I can load/unload the gun with the trigger guard still covered. I can definitely see some uses for this holster, but I think the MTAC will remain my "every day" holster - especially when I'm going to be sitting in the car a lot like I was yesterday.

Be aware in the instructions that it only fits Gen3 and 4 Glocks. It specifically says it will not fit Gen 1 and 2 guns. It could fit Gen 1 and 2 but it will be a loose fit as the trigger guard is narrower on the 1 and 2 so retention will not be as secure.

Those of you who are talking about your belt buckle sticking out, rotate your belt.

I have been carrying AIWB for a few months now.(1:00 position) I will try the VG2 when it is available for HKs. But for now I carry in a Garret Industries Silent Thunder Slim AIWB. It pushes my buckle (Wilderness) out pretty far. I have just started positioning my buckle where it rides in about the 10:00 position. Have had no problems carrying that way. I'm 5'11" and weigh about 195 lbs.

i can't quite seem to get it adjusted to where it doesn't push on my pelvis when sitting.

plus, i find the thoughts of it pointing at big jim and the twins to be somewhat unsettling- even though i know that i know that i know it's safe.

I ordered the VG1 and received the VG2 compatible version. It's the string version without the belt loop and mount but I believe it can be upgraded to the VG2. I've tried enough AIWB holsters to know that a full holster doesn't work for me in this position. So far the VG1 seems to be working well and I believe it's because the string allows for some flexibility in position and height of the pistol. I can move it around as needed if I'm going to sit, bend or stand. While I have a slight problem with this because the pistol isn't always in the same location, I can deal with it because of the concealability. I think the string version will also allow for a more concealable, tuckable holster, although I haven't had a lot of time to work with a tucked in shirt yet.

For those of you that find the VG2 isn't comfortable, you might try removing the belt loop and adding a string to anchor it to the belt.

I don't see on the website where you can order a vanguard 2. Can someone post a link or point me in the right direction. Thanks
