I bought one about a month or so ago. Very pleased with it. Surprised at the 45 LC accuracy @ 10 yds. Here's some pics.

Size comparison with Springfield XD40 Subcompact

5 shot group 45 LC S/A @ 10 yds.

5 shot group 45 LC D/A rapid fire @ 10 yds.

3 shot Federal handgun 000 Buck 410 loads rapid fire @ 10 yds.

3 shots Winchester PDX-1 410 D/A rapid fire ( and my bad shooting)

I'm interested too. Funny how the SA XDSC weighs about the same, and they're about the same size. I'm slowly rubbing my chin...

I really only bought it "just 'cause". I didn't have any plans for it to be my CCW, or home defense choice. That still goes primarily to the Springer with an LCP as deep concealment. However, after shooting Poly, it would be certainly welcome in my night stand. Also with 3 Winchester PDX-1 410 rounds first up backed by 2 PDX-1 225 gr HP 45 LC rounds I think kept in an IWB holster clipped to my seat belt it would make a great deterrent to a car jacker.
Besides, It's just plain FUN to shoot!

I went on the "BOX -O -TRUTH" website yesterday. The test results weren't that impressive. But it does look like a blast to shoot. I think I will get the Polymer Judge, "just because". My local gun shop will order the poly judge for $410. That seems reasonable. But does it come with the bobbed hammer or not??? The Taurus website shows a normal hammer... other websites show a bobbed hammer. the bobbed hammer looks a lot more badass!!!

My Poly does not have the bobbed hammer. $410 is an excellent price. I bought mine from a gun show dealer for $425. He had it marked $459. Don't know if I could have gotten him down much more. I thought that was a good price for a gun with a &570 MSRP. When I was telling a guy that owns a LGS near me he couldn't believe it. He looked it up, and said that's only $30 over his cost. I guess when you don't have the overhead of a store front you can do that and make enough to keep in business.

Do you conceal carry your Judge? What's it primary function? I have to soul search and ask myself do I want to invest in yet ANOTHER caliber... And I'm on the fence about if this gun will retire my Springfield Armory XD SC .40. I don't know anyone who has one, so my questions are like this thread's author... I want to know...

Do you conceal carry your Judge?

No. My primary CCW is still same as yours, and an LCP for deep concealment.
What's it primary function?

Range toy. I am considering it for a night stand gun though.

Not me, the more the merrier!! Example, I didn't have a Glock, didn't have a 10MM. The solution was simple G20!!!

I think Poly might become my travel companion in the truck or car. Especially if I have to go through areas that are prone to things like car jacking. I would still have my Springer, or Elsie on me, but Poly would be readily available to defend against an "up to my car window" attack.

thanks.

I was also wondering what the recoil is like?

I'm not the best to answer that, I am very recoil tolerant. The best I can say is it is about like a Ruger SP101 357. More than my GR100 357, and noticably less than my Super Blackhawk 44 Mag shooting Winchester Supreme 250 gr Bonded. The 410 was a bit more noticeable than the 44 Spcl Cowboy action loads I was shooting, and about the same, or slightly more than Winchester PDX-1 225 gr.
Nothing objectionable for me to shoot quite a bit in one range session, but keep in mind I like shooting full power 10MM in my G20 all day to.
