 PT 1911 Sights

I own several 1911's of different makes and models.

I have no issues with any except this PT 1911. The gun is broken in nicely, and really like it. I did have to replace the safety and spring for the same reasons everyone else has, no problem.

My questions is while I'm very happy with the grouping I'm having to hold at 3 O'clock to chew out the bull's eye. This is my first 1911 with the stright 8 sights and other than having to hold or cover my target like the added benefit of quicker alignment.

But what I don't get, is why this gun is shooting left. And at 10 yards its about 2 inches left. I've never had to adjust any of my other 1911's and I know its not me based on the fact I hit the same spot everytime, even with different ammo, and even after changing grips. So what gives do I try and move the rear sight or just get used to a right side hold?

Move the rear site. That's why its mounted in a dovetail.

They take a bit to get used to. I guess the "Straight Eight" sights are OK but still like original slights better and I'm quicker with them. Maybe after a few thousand rounds I'll change my mine. Different hold for sure.

I have the Straight 8 and would rather have the 3 dot.
