this is an import from a thread on 1911 page but it seems like the colt page may be the best place for it. hoping someone will know the answer.

hi! looking for some help with colt medallion smooth wood grips. i have a 380 gov with these grips and am wanting to get these grips on a full size colt 1911. ive search the net and found some things that appear close. i called colt and they referred me to gungrip.com but i never found the exact pair of grips. i think they are smooth rosewood grips with small pits because the wood wasn't heavily sealed unlike most other glossy grips today. figured i would reach out to the colt arfcom community for help!

Here's a pic of my 380 gov. Anyone notice the diff medallion design on them? Is that something for smaller frame guns? Anyone know if these are factory or aftermarket? Thanks!

here is what i think are the same grips but on a 9mm commander. they do have diff medallion designs.

thanks for your expertise!

I have a spare set of those in my parts box. I wonder what they sell for nowadays?

Is your 380 from 1986 by chance? your grips look like special annerversary grips from that year to me.
