Like the subject line asks, are the two interchangeable? Are they identical, or is it a matter of one being slightly tight with .44 ammo, and the other being a tad sloppy with .41 ammo?
I ask because I've found a pretty good deal on some .41 mags, which the seller claims will work for either caliber. But is it a matter of working flawlessly, or do they just sort of work?
I think they are.
I can mic my .41 mags if you want.
And where are you finding these

Yeah - check them if you don't mind. Or if you have both guns - or top ends in both calibers - see if they work with either magazine.
There's and ad on gunbroker for 10 mags "in factory packaging" for around $130. If they retail around $45 each, that seems a little too good to be true. The one in the picture appears to be marked for a .41, but if they will work in either it might not be a bad way to go.
I dont own it in .44 but i loaded .44 rounds into it and it held all eight fine. but however i dont know about feeding and chambering.
Inside width is 1.66 inches
Inside depth is .67 in.
Between Feed lips is .387
Outside width is 1.724
Outside depth is .74
Overall height is 4.995
I hope this helps
Thanks. I've got a .44 inbound and I'll check the mags when it gets here.
So what's the verdict? I'm looking at some fairly cheap .41 mags and am wondering if they will work in the .44 also......

Buy one and let us know.
From what I've read elsewhere, the older mags had the same measurement across the feedlips all the way from front to rear. The newer mags flare the feedlips toward the front.
So I don't know if this makes things better or worse if using .44 in the .41 mags.
