Finally got my DE back from the re-finisher
Since the full-size DE isn't really a practical gun, I figured I'd go with an equally un-practical finish. :) It's all in fun.

That's pretty good work, who did it?
Don't want carbon fiber for my Sig though.

Here's a before picture..I guess it could not look any worse :D I had a local (Indiana) company do the work, overall very pleased.
and after

Sweet!

Now all it needs are some flames and stickers for any aftermarket parts!
It's.....interesting. Not my cup of tea lol.

Flames were my first choice, but I had trouble finding someone that could do them...

Fuckin' saved! I think that is very cool, and completly agree with you.
The DE is a "fun gun" why have a normal finish? Good job man!

These grips are next

Nice. How long did it take and what was the damage?
BTW: If your trying to make it lighter, your doing it wrong

It actually took a couple of months, but that was because I had originally asked for the CF to be only in the portions shown in red on one of the pictures above. The shop had a hard time making the different areas match. They re-did it a couple of times to try and get it to look right. In the end we just decided to go full CF. Cost was pretty reasonable, bit over $100.
Just doing this for fun, not really concerned about weight, tactical advantages, etc. :)
Very nice and a great price as well. I dont follow you on the "practical" part though

, unless it's a .50.
Cool looking...
You'll be the talk of all the gangstas

Looks great

Uhm... am I the only one who thinks that rear sight looks a big backwards???

Oh dear.....your right. Good eye.
Not my cup of tea, but it is well done and clean. Also credit is deserved for an original design.

Yo that's just how I roll
LOL, just kidding. I didn't even notice until you pointed it out. Good eye!
Might want to get that checked out, if you plan on aiming your Desert Eagle.

The flames come from the barrel.
Oh, wait... it's a .357. Never mind. But the fireball from .50's are pretty impressive.
LITTLE OVER A 100 BUCKS!!!
Thats awesome, I want a custom finish on my 50
whats the name of the place??
I Like It!

Love it, looks great.
I love that finish! I agree, it is just a toy, why not make it even more fun.
That looks friggin awesome, and for a little over $100 makes it
even better
Yup, post the name of that company. I guarantee they'll be getting more business if all their work looks that ridiculously amazing.
Looks really sweet.

I might do it on a ragged out P6 or something cheap with no collector value.
