I can't be the only one here who uses one to hunt. Post yours here with a few details.

I just started hunting with mine last year and only have one kill with it, a smallish whitetail doe:



And the pistol I used to get her, a Mark XIX in .50AE with Br. Nickle finish and 24K Gold appointments. I picked it up in Excellent used condition for less than most used Black Oxide desert eagles. Hell, that's about the only way I would have gotten something this gaudy!

You either blew its asshole out or you just finished gutting it.

Where did the round impact and did it drop or run?

I shot her through the shoulder at about 25yds and with a splintered shoulder bone and a collapsed lung, she made it 100yds before dropping.

ETA: That's after field dressing.

I got a doe with mine at 70 yards. It took one shot with Hornady 240 gr ammo. Dropped on the spot.

Carried mine all season but nothing came closer than 100yds so maybe next season
