P90 Magazine Spring Orientation (7 round)?

I have some factory P90 mag springs and followers (plastic) for 7 round mags. Which end of the spring goes up against the follower? (One end has a little curly end, the other is "straighter".)

curly end inside the follower seems to work fine.

Correct. It basically works like a 1911 mag (the newer 8rd mags even use a 1911 follower).
