Did the APEX J-frame Duty Carry spring kit install
After reading good reviews, I ordered the APEX kit from Brownells to improve the crappy trigger of my 442. The two part video on Youtube by APEX was helpful and shows exactly what to do if you have no clue. After the install, which is all I did as I wanted to see what just the kit would do, the trigger pull was much better. I'll likely go back and do some smoothing and polishing to improve it further.
The improvement is really noticeable, especially side by side with the wife's J-frame, for which I will now order a kit. The only &*%$@# part was getting out and reinstalling the rebound slide spring without the tool used in the video. Will order it too.
I'll likely put a couple of boxes of my "duty" ammo through it to make sure there are no ignition problems, before using it for CCW. Definitely worth the $25!
I put it in my wife's J frame last October. No issues what so ever. I didn't do any polishing though, I didn't have the time.
