New to me S&W 19-5

I went to a gun show this morning and it was a complete bust. Figured I'd check a local shop on the way home and found a 2.5" S&W 19-5 in the used gun case. I've always wanted one so I bought it. A little bit of finish wear around the muzzle and front of the cylinder, but not too bad. Lockup is tight, timing is good and the trigger pull is typical S&W. It could definitely use a different set of stocks, but that can wait.

I would have preferred stainless, but sometimes you just can't be picky.

I would have been all over the 19 for that price. Just can't find them here.

There's nothing like a K-frame. I love them. In different configurations and calibers, I have about 20 of them.

Only two of them are custom carry guns. A 3" M13 and a P&R 2-1/2" M66 (no dash), both customized by Karl Sokol at Chestnut Mountain Sports.



Great find on your part! Now all you need to do is send it off to Karl and have him build the ultimate carry gun for you!

K frame is my favorite along with J frame as a back up and with 38spl+ loads

i have a 14-3 w/ 6" barrel and love it. i am about to pick up a LNIB 19-3 next weekend. wil post pics to share when i pck her up.
