Is it worth the extra money to get the Black finish?
That's up to you.
Like all exterior finishes it WILL wear.
If you just want a black gun then it's worth it.
If you don't care and plain stainless is okay, it isn't worth it.
Paint it yourself with some black krylon, that's what my plan is. Heck, like any coating it will eventually start to rub off, so might as well save the money and krylon that bad bear! Ha ha.
Every Kahr I own happens to have the bare stainless slides, but I do wish I was able to get the all black slide after handling my buddies PM9. To me it would be worth the upcharge of $30 - $40 bucks if I was able to do it again. IMHO
I purchased a black one should be here by the end of the week.
How does the black finish wear? I'm thinking about getting a P380, but I'm wondering if its wear resistance would be similar to say... A Glocks.
I just got a black K9 a few weeks ago, and I love it. I like the K9 in general, but I love it so much more in the black finish. I didn't mind paying the extra money for it at all. The way I see it, if you want it in black, and you get it in SS, you won't be happy about it in the back of your head.
