New Bersa Single Stack 9mm * Small update bottom of page
The only draw back is it's supposedly going to be a 7+1, but I am excited. Their .380 is the best CCW I have found for me yet, and this would be even better.
Scuttlebutt is that it's supposed to be out this
fall. Looks like it may be early 2010 before it's available. Some folks at Bersa Talk have said that apparently they are having an issue with licensing. Fingers crossed that they can get it out there and submit it for California Certified Handgun licensing.

looks like a Glock trigger and has the same ugly slide serrations as the new Taurus's.
Does look cool, Bersa's have a pretty good rep, I'd be willing to pick one up if the price is right.

Yeah they do. It kinda reminds me of the PPS and PM9 too if I look at it long enough. According to a rumor, it's supposed to retail for $300-$400, but Eagle Imports is mum on anything officially.
I think I likey.
I'm a big fan of the Thunder 380.
This gun is definitely worth a closer look when it comes out.
No manual safety, what looks to be an uncomfortable and bad trigger pull, only 7+1 which means a skinny grip?
Doesn't sound like it's for me. Pass, but nice to see them making more pistols anyways. I'd like them to make a semi-auto .223/5.56x45mm rifle though.
If I cross my eyes and squint a little, it looks a lot like a Steyr M9
ETA- I'd buy one, if they prove to be as reliable as the Thunder .380s

OP, thanks for the heads up. It's on my to-buy list. In fact, I contacted an FFL bud yesterday but it's not in stock with his normal Bersa distributor.
So, a slight update to this on Bersa Talk. It appears as though there are plans for a compact .40 S&W version, and full size versions. Still nothing I can see for an official release date, but Bersa's new catalogue has been updated to include photos of this gun. There is also no word whether Bersa plans to submit this for testing in California, and I've noticed they let their certifications for the Thunder UC and Thunder Pro series handguns expire. Not sure if this is intentional or not.
I can't seem to post the pic here, but on a side-by-side comparison it doesn't appear much bigger than the Thunder .380 with the magazine with thumb extension inserted.
Here's some additional photos I found:
[removed]
Technical Data
Length - 6.42"
Height - 4.8"
Wide - .94"
Barrel Length - 3.33"
Weight - 21.5171 oz.
Fingers still crossed!
I think that second picture is some other gun sig 250 maybe?

I checked again and you're right. It's a comparison photo that was posted next to the actual model. It is a Sig 250.
Here's the Bersa. Sorry guys.

I think it looks cool. Bersas seem to have a good rep here and that is a hard thing to cultivate on ARFCOM. I hope this one works out.
Any update?

Yes. I want one of these. Heck if it's as good as my Thunder 380 and priced right, I'll get two of them.
It's exactly what I'm looking for to carry when the big 45's won't work.

dammit. I walked right through their booth and forgot to look. Arrrrrrgh.

OK, first, your pics don't show up because they're password protected. Second, are those specs for the "full size" or the "compact?"

They weren't password protected at first. I'm not sure why they are now. I found them on Bersa Talk and through Google. They may still be there.
I believe those specs are for the compact. I believe there is a full size version planned, but they're wanting to put out the compact first. That is the last info I have.
