75 rubber grips, how grippy vs plastic or hogue?
I have a 75 Compact with plastic grips that fit my hand just fine, but wonder if the factory rubber grips offer a bit more grab without being tacky/squish like Hogue rubber.
It's kind of a subjective thing, but in my opinion, yes, they offer better grip without being as you describe the Hogues.
imo, i think they are about the same.
They are my favorite grips for the CZ-75. Drastically more effective than the slippery hard plastic grips, yet pretty much the same dimensions, so you keep the slim feel. They do add a little weight, but not much.

I agree, I like the fact that they give me a little more grip but I can maintain the feel of the original grip size.
I think they can't really be as soft as the Hogues since they are acting as grips over that large opening. They need to have a little more support.
I don't like the Hogue's as they are more sticky/tacky than I like. The rubber grips are nice grippy, and way better than the hard plastic grips.

I really mlike the factory rubber grips. I have them on my compact and my sa. They are grippy and feel great.
factory rubber grips are great.
These are the best looking I have found and are a little thinner than the stock plastic or rubber grips.

I have the Hogues (normally love them, they're on almost every gun I have) but removed them because they made the grip too big for comfort. I went back to the plastics, but disliked those because my left panel wasn't molded straight and would 'pop' as I gripped the gun. Bugged the heck out of me. So I just got a set of factory rubber in the mail Sat and I LOVE them. Wish I had purchased them with the gun (WHY doesn't CZ make them standard??) when new years ago.
Yeah, and notice the prominent "OUT OF STOCK" and "NO KNOWN DATE OF DELIVERY" warning, too!
The plastic ones are slick in a bad way and no grip. I stippled mine and now it's grippy as heck. Amazing what a cheap soldering iron would do.
If I could pick I say get the rubber ones but I'm cheap so I use what I have and mod it.
as a long time Cz fun I will ad my few cents.
I like hogue wrap around grip. I simply love Hogue products. Got wrap around grips on almost all my Cz pistols, on Beretta 92, SiG P229. They always fit well but as another forum member already mentioned they are a little bit sticky. Cz factory rubber grips are kinda in the midle between old school plastic panels and new school wrap around grips. They (rubber grip panels) look simple but they are quite sophisticated regarding their shape. I like them a lot and frankly I changed only old plastic grips. never replaced new style rubber grips because they work really good. They cost more than Hogue and Hogue is easier to order and that explains pretty much my choice.
I dumped the stock plastic grips for the CZ rubber grips and they are perfect. I bought the CZ because it felt good in my hands and the CZ rubber grips are the same dimensions but more 'grippy'. Some aftermarket grips are too fat to me.
