 Kel-Tec PF-9 is shooting 10" to the left...at 10yds. Is that common??

I took my new PF-9 to the range and ran a bunch of rounds through it (not a single malfunction ;D).

I love the gun, it's going to be great for a carry gun, but for some reason it's shooting way left.....about 10" at 10yds. That seems like a HUGE amount to be off. The rear sight is centered on the slide, and I have not tried to adjust it at all yet. Is that normal for them to be off that much? How many of you guys have had to move the rear sight around on your PF-9 in order to get it shooting on target?

I was nice and smooth on the trigger, and I've been shooting pistols for a long time...so I don't think it's a problem with my technique. At 10yds with my 1911 I can practically get all the bullets through the same hole (well, maybe not that good ;D).

Should I just move the rear sight to compensate for the guy shooting so far to the left....or are there other things that I should look at first?

Thanks!

My PF9 was off alot, cant remember right or left, just adjust your rear sight to get you on target

Mine was accurate right out of the box. Day 1 at the range, I opted to try the typical home defense scenario - human sized target at 12 ft. Slow fired, 8 rounds exactly where i pointed, 4 of which were touching in a 1 inch group. Can't ask for more. Quick fire, they're all on the silhouette.

I was all over the place with mine, until I cleaned up the trigger.

The most likely explanation is that the heavy trigger is causing you to pull the pistol to one side when shooting. Check this chart for help chart

Mine shoots quite high, but is right on R/L.

My rear sight is maxed out to the right to get point of aim.

Mine is brand new also and although I have not yet changed the rear sight I find that I am shooting a little left (5") and a tad low (2") at 7 yards. However, when I am trying to be very accurate, it is right on the money. I figured out I am probable squeezing the grips too hard from the chart provided earlier.

My only problem - the two rear sight dots are missing after I cleaned the gun. I have ordered the Nightsighters.

Other than that - Not a single malfunction in 150+ rounds.

I love it.

Just be happy it actually shoots! I've had horrible luck with the PF-9 shooting reliably.
