 How to remove extractor

I finally got to take my FM 90 Hi-power to the range last weekend.

Lots of failures to extract. (Factory Remington 115 grain ammo). I'm thinking I probably need to clean out the extractor but I can't figure out how to get it out. Do I have to drive out a pin?
As a 1911 kind of guy external extractors confuse me.

Yes, you'll have to drive out the cross pin in the side of the slide and remove the sear lever first. Then drive the extractor pin (the vertical pin in the slide) out and the extractor and spring will come out.
