What does it take to change the ambi safety out for an old style one?

First off, does it have to be fitted?

Secondly, anyone know where I can get one reasonably priced, blued?

Thirdly, I know it sounds crazy, but it's not the first time I'd be accuzed of it.

what do you mean by "old style" safety? Are you referring to the small safety as seen in the picture below? If you do, send me a PM, as I replaced this style of safety with a C&S extended safety. But my safety is parkerized. Some safeties do need to be fitted, some do not. The C&S safety I installed on my pistol did not need to be fitted.

Dang, I was just saying, maybe we can trade something. Is there anything you need in particular I could throw your way? I think those things might be worth money.

Brownells has the safety you are looking for. I'm not using the safety I took off of my HP, so you can have it at the price I offered. If you are looking to trade something, the only HP items I'd be interested in would be either OEM mags or Mec-Gar mags (especially the mouse spring trap mags).

Not sure why I didn't get your IM, maybe you can try and email me.

Did the Brownell's page really have the safety for $115.50 or am I hallucinating?

Yep.

Brownells is the last place I look for gun parts.
