first BHP clone
today a co-worker of mine asked if i would be interested in a 9mm she was sellin, its a feg bhp clone. once i saw it i was actually impressed by the pistol very deep blue finish and shiny, felt really nice in my hand. noticed the model # pjk-9hp. shes the original owner since 2005. and claims about 300 rounds through the barrel. so i could not resist the price of $200. will be picking it up in a couple of days, and will post some pics. any info from other feg owners regarding this clone would be much appreciated, always wanted the real deal bhp but the price is to much for me right now, thanks.
For 200 dollars I would have bought it too.
I have one of those, well actually mine says P9M. I had the magazine safety removed and a cylinder and slide hammer installed to avoid the hammer pinch. If you fire it with a high grip you will know why. Nice gun and I keep mine as my downstairs HD gun.
yes mine also has the magazine safety, and your right as soon as i racked the slide back i was like ouch. will look into replacing the hammer later on, thanks
I have one as well. The polish and bluing on mine is great and appears to be a rust blue process rather than a faster / more modern blue. Personally I think they look superb with a nice set of well figured coco bolo or rosewood grips.
The sights are decent 3 dot sights - not exceptional but not bad. They have a u notch rather than a square notch and the notch is a bit thinner than on a Mk III FN high power, but they are very useable and low profile. The dove tail is smaller than on an FN Hi Power so aftermarket sight options and in particular night sights would be more difficult to accomplish.
They use a humped feedramp that some shooters report is not reliable with hollow points but my FEG has always eaten everything my Mk III has with excellent reliability.
I added an SFS kit to mine to stay consistent with my FN SFS Hi Power (and it takes care of the hammer bite issue) and it was a pretty straight forward proposition with only minor fitting of the safety lever required.
The slide to frame fit is a bit looser than my FN and it shoots accordingly with a bit less accuracy, but it is still acceptable as a personal defense weapon and I'd have no qualms carrying my FEG from both accuracy and reliability perspectives.
Removing the mag safety and the C&C SFS kit noticeably improved the trigger pull but it is still not to the same standard as my FN.
I love mine, it looks and shoots very well.
Congratulations.
PS, IIRC, those guns are made on the BHP machinery bought from Browning.
I have one and it works fine and is very reliable. I removed the magazine safety and it definitely improved the trigger pull. Have fun with your new pistol!

since its my first feg hp, wondering why the trigger is so bad. but through some research as you stated i got brave enough and removed the magazine safety and oh boy what a difference it makes, as a plus hit the mag release and the mags shoots out like it should
heres a better pic
