Passed on a FEG, cheap....
Pawnshop had an FEG P9 yesterday. It was the one that is a Hi Power clone and not one of the goofy guns they made that look something like a Hi Power but are part Smith Wesson or had goofy sight ribs on them etc.....I almost bought it as it was in excellent shape and CHEAP. $200 out the door. If I hadn't decided that I was done with "clone" guns I probably would have bought it.
where is this pawnshop at?

And what's their number?
Amarillo, Texas.
Was it the FP-9 with the rib?
I've been on the hunt for one of those for 4-5 years (had one 15 years ago and foolishly sold it to buy something else)
No, the straight Hi Power clone. Looks exactly like a 1960's Belgium Hi Power, small sights, light wood grips, high polish blue etc...
I have one. Very good gun for the money. $200 is a steal.

Are you talking about this one?

I passed on an Argentinian HP for $199 last year.
It was there in the store for 4 months. Saw it at least 5 or 6 times. Always walked away.
I should had picked it up. It had some really nice grips on it too.
Kept telling myself that I needed to save for a FN or Browning marked HP instead. I kick myself every time I come into this sub-forum.
I picked up a PJK-9HP for $150, didn't really know the value of these when I got it. I was pretty surprised to find it I as favored as it is for being a clone. It's one of my best shooting pistols, I'll never sell it.
I bought one in a moment of weakness and I really enjoy shooting it (after removing the magazine safety and bobbing the ring hammer so it wouldn't bite me). They are very good shooting guns for the money and it satisfied my longterm desire for a Hi-power without seriously damaging my budget.
