Well, I took my P10-45 out from it's LONG hibernation in the safe. I tried running some rounds through it but it was,to say the least, not cooperating. Anyway I strip it down and much to my surprise right above the hole where the slide release lever goes through the frame is a relief(?) cut. Looking at the frame with the barrel end pointed left, there is a slit cut. At first I thought it was a crack but it looks to be a purposely cut relief. I will post a pic soon. Any ideas about why or if it it indeed a cut or crack?

That is a relief cut. Not sure what purpose it serves, but they all have them.
It was done at the factory. It is a relief cut for stress.
