Is there any companys that make a new P08 or something almost exactly the same? I realy like the gun, but dont want to buy an expensive old one : )
never seen anyone making new versions of the p08 - saw a few from ww2 on gunbroker.com starting around $500. you may want to search around on WWW.LUGERFORUM.COM - i have a p38 made in the 50's that i got for $200 in good to very good condition. they were a whole lot of them for sale a while back, but the supply seems to be running thin now and the prices are going up. the ww2 p38's seem to be more expensive than the p08's. good luck.

They are still made by ORIMAR Corp in limited numbers, This is the new version of AIMCO that replaced STOEGER, Mitchell, etc. There are rumors of a 45 Stainless in a few months. There standard Lugers go for around $700. Contact Mr R Romo at

You can buy a "shooter" level Luger for around $400 or so. That's about what I paid for mine. Shoots nice & no hiccups.
I would recommend one of the shooters Bob is talking about over a new one. If you can still find them for $400 that is good. Because the VOPO imports have just about dried up, I think most will run you a bit more than $400 but you can find one if you are patient enough.
