Was just talking about the picks of the 'double barreled' 1911 making the rounds and someone asked me if anyone has ever made a polymer version of a 1911? I've never seen one, but I do know that EAA does make some of their models in both a steel frame & a polymer over steel frame, so it's at least possible. I have a Colt Delta Elite airsoft pistol in the shop but I don't think that counts.
Ah, STI makes one. RRA is making one. Wilson made one., as did Kimber.
Duh, I just scrolled down to the bottom of this forum and saw the posting for the new Rock River poly 1911, which answers my original question. So has there been any OTHER poly 1911s, or is this the first?
