Hey guys, I was wondering why the slide of the Colt Defender is bright stainless steel while the frame is a little more golden in tone or maybe even vanilla colored. I would like to have my frame match the bright stainless color of the slide. Any info would be much appreciated.

The frame is alloy and the slide is stainless steel

This. Hence the "Lightweight" stamping:

As above, the frame is aluminum alloy. I don't understand why anyone would want a shiny self defense gun though, if anything I'd bead blast the slide to match the frame.
