New mosquito
So don't know if this is cause of the factory fixing problems in the line or what but mine works great.
I just got done shooting a 550 round block of federal bulk with great results. I ended up only having 3 duds, 1 stove pipe, 2 failure to feeds out of a whole 550rd box and seemed to get one or two failures every 100 rounds.
I did end up breaking the gun in before shooting it by racking and riding the hammer down by hand 500 or 600 times. Then cleaned the crappy grease off from factory and ran Slip2000 extreme weapons lube.
I am vary happy with these results and my new purchase.
Just thought I'd share

I am glad you like yours. I just got rid of mine finally.
mine runs great too
Mine runs great, as well, but it took a year and a lot of work for it to get there.

Just curious, which spring are you running?
Glad it's working for you. Mine has seen about 5,000 rounds and has been as flawless as any semi-auto .22. The only thing I've noticed is when a new shooter is shooting they have a tendency to have a limp wrist, which prevents the slide from being able to strip the next round and go back into battery.
Keep an eye on the front sight as it can come loose. I suggest once you have the sight that works best (middle one for me), you glue it in.
Mine was fun but with my ne ruger mkIII 6.88 hunter, I dont think Ill use it much unless I bring people to shoot. I did get mine 3 years ago tho, but for 320 OTD it was super fun

Just so you know, I went through a brink and a half of federal with my MKIII and had 0 duds, 0 stove pipes, 0 failure to feeds.
1-2 Failures every 100 rounds is terrible. No, that pistol sounds like a lemon.
I am glad you are happy though.

I shoot Browning Buckmarks. My son and I have been going to the range every Saturday morning for quite a few months now. Each day we put somewhere between 200-400 rounds of 22LR down range. One morning in late October I had a stovepipe. I said "Wow, I haven't seen one of those in a while." My son said "Yeah, not since June." I think that he was right. Both of our Buckmarks work well with CCI Blazers 40 gr. His is reasonably new and he has had two failures out of a few thousand rounds. When I was shooting Federal Bulk Packs I could expect a failure every couple of magazines. That doesn't mean that CCI is better than Federal. It just means that CCI Blazers works better in my Buckmarks. To me, one or two failures from your first bulk pack implies that your gun is capable of being quite reliable and if you find some ammunition that works well then it will be REALLY reliable.
When I first started shooting I was intimidated (discouraged) by the idea of finding the perfect ammo for my guns. I liked the idea of being able to go to ANY store and buy ANY ammo. But finding bulk ammo as cheap as it is and with the ammo shortage of 2008 have shown me that keeping an adequate supply of ammo is a good idea. Since I am doing it, I might as well stock what my guns like.
By the way, this is my first post. Second if you count a "I'll take it" response on EE. I have lurked here for a couple of years and learned a lot of things from the people on these forums. It is time that I try to reciprocate.
Edit: Fixed a typo.
Range report on a new Mosquito:
I bought one new this past week. Prior to shooting I cleaned it well and "buzzed" the chamber with a .22 cal bore brush using a drill. Figured it wouldn't hurt since that is the accepted method for AR 22 conversion units. Once at the range I ran a box(100) of CCI Mini Mags. Not one single malfunction. So I decided to try some Remington Golden Bullets. I pretty much had a malfunction on each mag. The one thing though is every malfunction was an FTE. The rounds were easily removed by hand from the chamber(as in not stuck) so not sure exactly what causes the extractor to miss the fired case. After I fired my fill of the Remington's I again fired several mags full of the Mini Mags and again no malfunctions.
I'll have to try some other rounds to see what else it might like or hate for now.
Mine came with the High front sight and the gun shot a little low so I changed to the medium height sight.
CCI Blazers are cheap and have the same ballistic characteristics as Mini-Mags and they are a lot cheaper. I would recommend trying them.
