Tree rats/rats be warned!!!! I'm comming day or night for ya!!!!!! Photos
Poor 452 American. What did she deserve to be hung behind a car and dragged on unpaved road?
that's what she looks like.. :(
A few dings and scratches in the stock but she is a shooter!!!

awesome!
where do you hunt tree rats where you'd have the opportunity to use a bipod (no I'm not being critical, just asking)?

if they're not genetically programmed (multiple generations) to avoid your porch by now you haven't been shooting them enough

Those dumb fuckers can't turn down sun flower seeds... It's like crack to them

Or you could wipe out two entire generations so there's no way for them to get trained on avoiding certain parts of your yard....

sitting in my office, staring out the window, I envy you your predicament....
I would invite you to come clear out the little vermin from my yard, but I'm in the middle of a subdivision.

Oooooo. That's just pure badassery right there.
I need some night vision on my pocket 10/22. That would be a good time.
I know nothing about NV. How about some details.
Oddly enough, tree rats are game animals, with season and bag limits in Texas. No suppressors, no night hunting.

Here in Florida the rats live in the palm trees.
Nothing more fun than a suppressed 22 w/ NV! Quick question for you as I've never used NV on a scope w/ a sunshade on it before (don't know if you keep it on there for night shooting). I would think a sunshade would reduce the total amount of light getting to the objective, and I know just how scarce light gets w/ a setup like that. Just curious what, if any, difference you've noted in case you've done it w/ and w/o sunshade?
I tried it both ways and noticed nothing.

My 8lb. cat has made decimating the squirrel population his mission on life.
That and napping.

I hunt squirrels with a 452, suppressor, and bipod too.
I use my bipod for various applications, and I just leave it on for squirrel. A lot of times I'll pull down the left leg and shoot with my left hand on the bipod leg and the bipod foot resting against a tree. There's been a handful of times where I actually did end up prone on the ground using the bipod for some long squirrel shots.
