I have a newer 10/22 Ruger .I would like to make it as compact as possible without going the SBR route or the Takedown route.Would like to know what stock to use and what scope without breaking the bank.Im looking for a compact package.

Start with the 16" barrel tactical model, then put on this folding stock.
That's as small as you can go without SBR or takedown. And you'll only have maybe $300 into it.

Oh, I mis-read the first time. You already have a 10/22. Sorry.

Nice short 16" threaded barrel from the factory.

They are a little hard to find. Just shop around. Might have to buy off gunbroker.

Several companies make some nice target barrels in the 16-17" range. Might as well make it as accurate as possible. If it's already accurate enough for your leave it as is.

ATI makes a stock that has a collapsible/adjustable AND folding stock that includes an adjustable cheek riser but it's pricey.

As for scopes, nikon makes some decent prostaff 4x rimfire scopes. You can get cheaper scopes, it's up to you what you want to spend but the nikon is good quality. Otherwise walmart is your friend.
