Has or does anyone know if a CMMG 6.5" barrel will drop into my TAC SOL 22 upper and work with the TS bolt. Want to run on a SBR lower.

I believe Tactical Solutions uses a mil spec upper however the TS barrel has integral feed ramp attached the chamber end of the barrel. The TS bolt butts up against the chamber/breach face on the barrel. The CMMG bolt slides over the the breach end of the barrel. The CMMG bolt uses a collar to slide onto the barrel and is held in place by a detent in the collar. The barrels and bolts are not inter changeable between TS and CMMG.

Would that apply to Model 1 barrels or are there any compatible barrels to the TS. I was going to get a TS SB-X?? barrel, but they want sell it without shroud. I hate having the orginal barrel cut.Thank you for your information.

Model 1 barrels use the Ciener/Atchissson style of bolt like Spikes with .500 collar. CMMG uses the same type of bolt pattern as Spikes/Model 1 except the portion of the barrel the collar slides over on CMMG is .460 diameter. Basically similar bolt patterns just different barrel/collar diameter. Tactical Solutions uses a different bolt pattern more similar to the M&P 15-22 or Chiappa style of bolt. The receiver end of the barrel is different on T/S compared to CMMG and Spikes.

Model 1 sales barrel would not work with your T/S bolt, you would need a T/S barrel or have one built as there barrel design is more unique (proprietary).

I have both the TS and CMMG uppers. They are worlds different. The T/S does not technically look like a Chiappa, the Chiappa looks like a T/S...from which it was copied. I was at the MG shoot at Knob Creek last year when the guys from Chiappa were selling a pile of T/S barrels that had been taken apart. Wasn't hard to figure out why they had them....

The CMMG and Model 1 barrels are in fact different sizes. The good part is however that you just use the collar that goes with the barrel and you can fit the bolt and rails from the CMMG to the collar.
