Hi All,

I ran across a Finn M91/30 1939 Izhevsk round receiver with SA stamp with the following attributes:

- finn rounded finger groove potbelly stock and circle Z cartouche in good shape
-Escutcheon plate with round hole and hangers
-post globe front sight
-looks like a finn sling
-bayonet
-receiver and bolt match but bolt has been forced matched on top. The bolt has the original # striked thru. A nonstriked # has been stamped to match the receiver.
- Floor plate has a lineout and does not match receiver
- Cleaning rod present
- Counterbored and dark bore (probably bc it needs a good cleaning)
- rifling looks decent
- Bluing i would say is 60-70%
- Import stamp is on the front barrel

I should have taken pictures but I was in a rush. What do you think it's worth? I searched on the boards but couldn't find a value.

Thanks,

md

Honestly?

Probably $100-250, depending on condition and if the seller knows what it is.

It could go for more, if it has something more rare about it or is in exceptionally good condition.

+1

I was going to say $150-$200, depending on appearance. However, I've seen some people getting stupid for them on Gunbroker (but that's not the norm).

Around 200 is what I have been seeing Fin captures go for lately on gunbroker.

It does depend on location a little, too. Around here, you don't see them much, so I'd add a premium for the "right" rifle.

I would, however, negotiate aggressively before I bought it for $250. (assuming it is in very good condition).

$100 -> 150 max.

Finn'd 91/30's are by no means rare.

Finn'ed M91/30s are usually worth +- $150

Was the bayonet [SA] marked? If so, that ups the value quite a bit. Finnish bayonets are rather uncommon.

The bayonet was scrubbed of it's number and I didn't notice a SA stamp, but when I see it again I'll check for it.

I appreciate all the comments.
