Well, most of my discretionary income has been going to getting ready for the 3-gun season, so C&R toys have taken second place as of late –– hence no new Lee-Enfields
But, last night I stumbled into a deal on a 1943 production Star Model B, which I've been off-again on-again looking for for a while now. All mine, for the princely sum of $100 (last time AIM had them, they wanted $375, and they were Russian captures

)
Pics to follow later on.

That is gorgeous!
I love Model B's. For that price I wasn't expecting much in terms of condition. Have you took her apart yet?
......Russian capture Star's?

That's their story.
Tore her down today. Bore is in nice shape. Little tiny bit of pitting here and there, but nothing major and not a lot of it. Little rust in the slide serrations, but again, not bad.
Looks nice... I've been looking for a Star in 9mm Largo, but they appear to have all dried up from the usual C&R vendors...

Long story short, friend of the family ended up with custody of the grandkids and wanted to thin the firearm herd in the house. Ran into him while he was talking to my dad about it and he asked if I knew anyone looking for a 9mm (which I thought was a Kel-Tec, as I had forgotten about the Star). I said I'd keep my ears open, and then he says "alright, well it's $100" and pulls out the Star. Sold

Yeah, the Stars seem to be getting difficult to find, and more expensive when you do find them. I couldn't believe the prices I'd seen on some of them the last time I was semi-seriously looking.
Congrats! One heckuva deal.
