I asked a guy at a yard sale yesterday if he had any guns for sale but the told me none he was getting rid of. Then he asked if I had a M1 Carbine. I told him I had a old IBM and he said he had something I might want, went into his garage and brought out a Overton M1A1 folding stock/HG. He said he'd take $40.00 for it. Of course I bought it.
I think it is one of the stocks Overton made from "new old-stock" WW-2 era parts for a military contract in 1970. It has the proper Overton markings for a second type stock but it has a machine cut on the inside of the left reciever wall of the stock for a M2 Carbine. This stock had been well used but it was almost a perfect match for my rather worn (finish wise) IBM.
It was almost like getting a new weapon to mess with.

Really nice score, I ask for guns at every garage sale i see and usually get a

look.
I think i live in the wrong state
Very nice score.
I used to say I never got deals like that. .....until last year when i got an extremely nice colt python for a price too low to print.

I sold a couple pistols at breakeven prices but much lower than current value to help my karma.
