 can anyone give me any information on this gun lock?

I found this in an antique shop in st St Augustine Florida
bought it for $45.00

there are no stamps or markings on it

Spanish style, might be from the period of Spanish settlement, but Ive seen new made locks like that from Afg & India that someone could buy and age and sell in an antique store.......

Looks like a spanish style miquelet flintlock. Historically, they predated the true flintlock mechanism, but were made throughout the flintlock era. They can be hard to date as tourist copies are still being produced.

Sorry but those are made for tourists, decorators, antique stores, etc. They are vaguely styled after period pieces, but the geometry is all wrong, workmanship is poor and the materials are usually scrap metal. Usually from India or Pakistan. Was there a pistol attached to it? If I remember right, you could fill a shipping container (Conex) with pistols, rifles, fantasy pieces, etc. for $1200-$1500.
