Shipping Black powder

Do black powder rifles have to be shipped from an FFL to an FFL or can they just go regular mail?

They are not considered to be firearms by the ATF. They do not have to be shipped to an FFL. Shipping between individuals is OK.

And I can buy smokeless but not black powder at a gun show.

Depends upon the state as well. Here in Missouri, you can have them shipped directly to your door. I know it's not the same in certain states.
