Anybody? Looking for 45 cal. rifle projectiles that would be cheap and short range, but at least somewhat accurate. Can marbles be used? In a Daniel Boone? biography, it talks about using peas when learning to shoot a rifle. Just wondering if there are any options other than lead.
Thanks.

this other forum, it's the ARFCOM for traditional muzzleloaders.
ETA apparently you need to have an account to see those older threads I linked to. Sorry about that. Basically some guys did experiment with rubber balls, marbles and even ball bearings with various results. I think the rubber balls showed the most promise. If you do muzzleload it's worth creating at least the free membership over there, a wealth of knowledge for front stuffers.
OK, working on being able to view them. Thanks a lot for those, I'm anxious to get into them.
get a mould cast your own- while it is getting harder you can usually find a source for lead cheap or free- if you want to do any amount of shooting this is the way to go.
